The dimensions are: 4" diameter gravel guard, 2" abs cup about 5" tall. The false bottom is a piece of rigid rubber siliconed in the bottom of the cup about an 1" or so from the end. Stainless steel pivot rod.

Yes. I also put a false bottom in to make the bottom end lighter when filled with water. It makes the balance point less critical.

is the balance point below the center of the dipper??
