Here's a site to check out for your cucumbers - http://gardeningwithwilson.com/2008/02/23/pollinating-cucumber-flow... - I don't think you need to be that hard core on every flower unless you have lack of ventilation and air movement.

Amazing find! I'm still the newbie here, still setting up my first system; however, I wouldn't think that the frogs are harmful. If anything they will keep you pest problem under control if they ever manifest. Otherwise, they're in there to enjoy the running water and humidity!
