Peter, there are around 40 total. There were supposed to be around 20 in each but it ended up being like 28 in one and 12 in the other. It's running around a consistent 60 degrees in my garage in CO. Thanks.

Clay, it is called a hydro sponge filter. They size from 10 to 120 gallons. These are the larger version called the hydro-pond sponge filter. They range from 500 to 1500 gallons. Everyone except the largest 2 are air pump driven. Amazon has some smaller ones, and google can give you a fairly good list of who carries the larger ones.

i have seen that filter (in the middle) only smaller, gona let us know what its called and whos got them?
