Here is a first look at Pakistan's third AP system :D Its quite special! Firstly its in a configuration that I haven't seen in barrelponics anywhere, in thatit is Chift/Pist, it has a PVC loop siphon and the siphon is Affnanized.

System was designed by me and fabricated by myself and Waqas Ali khan, who you can see in the system, Waqas did most of the work, hurt himself as well by stepping on a soldering iron, so if you watch this video and give making your own system a go remember to wear shoes while working!

System has been planted with corn, brocolli, tomatoes, cabbage, peppers, capsicums, sponge gourds and a few more, should be a very productive system once it cycles.

Try adjusting the flow rate, if the siphon won't stop that most probably means the flow rate into the GB is too high/fast. Thats usually the problem with siphons not starting rather than air holes. Can you put up a short video of your own, would help giving better input?

Glad to help :] added the small airhole in the small L inside the GB, if you take a look at the construction video (Check out my youtube channel if its not here) and you should see the fitting I'm talking about, its not shown in this video.

hey, i wanted to try a new type of siphon. at the same time, your type of siphon (compared to bell siphon) save space, and i can use it to grow more vegetables. I did mine just recently, it works. but just trying to get the siphon to break is bit hard. where did you add the small airhole? at the L shape PVC is it?

I appreciate your help :)

Hey, yea we had to fiddle with the siphon a bit, then we got it to work by adding a small airhole where the pipe was inside the GB, so some air could get in there to break the siphon before the water for to the lowest point. Once you do that it should stop just fine. Why don't you go for a bell siphon or a pipe siphon?
