I harvested my fish this past weekend in order to make room for this years crop of fish. I had a little over a 100 lbs of tilapia after cleaning and 240 lbs of cat fish, I left 37 large tilapia in a floating cage in my fish tank. I'm just going to raise the tilapia this year since I only lost 5 of the original hundred over the winter. When I drained the FT I found thousands of fry in it so I put around 500 in my greenhouse and left 500 in the FT, I was very surprised to see they survived with all those catfish in there. I've put a few groups of 20 together made up of my 2 strains of Blue Tilapia if any one needs a started colony these should give you some hybrid vigor, you have to pick them up.

I am a real nubie with aquaponics and I am so impressed by your system. Also the clear plastic totes used... what a great idea!!

im a fan of the "natural filtration" system you have going on, nice job   i didnt know duckweed could contribute significantly to the purification of the water

nice system :) the only thing i wud change is putting some kind of cistern on the dirt grow beds, so you don't have to lose so much water, and the water can keep on circulating.
