Are you an aquaponic gardener already?
yes
If so, what type of system? (pick all that apply)
I added to my little fishpond in my garden a trough where I am growing salad and beans.
Please tell us something else about yourself.
I am just developing an aquaponics system for the poor farmers in the North East of Thailand. They mostly have a fish pool close to their houses. As electricity is very expensive for them, I am thinking about using solar cells to power the pumps. Another challenge is the system as a whole.

Hi Werner, Nice to meet you at this site.

What a wonderful place you live in. I love vacationing there; anything, anytime, anywhere; and the seafood.

How about using manual power ie bicycle attached to a pump that draws water to a water tower?

Hallo Werner,

Hi Werner,

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community! I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics. There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to join in. Always thrilled to have experienced growers join us – please post some photos of your system!

A great place to start is to read the How to Use This Site link on the upper right corner, “Start Here” section of the Main page. Given the system that you are trying to develop you may want to start a forum topic on using solar cells to power pumps and see what you can learn from the members experience there.

Thanks again for joining us, and I look forward to getting to know you.

Sylvia
