Please tell us something else about yourself.: I am looking into creating a network of aquaponic urban farms in Belgium, with a social goal of providing unemployed people with training and an opportunity to start their own useful business (not like becoming a web trader...). I will soon approach some local restaurants, communal authorities and collectivity services to get a feel of the potential for such farms.

Aquaponics and nature conservation

I am watching a documentary on nature conservation initiatives (Non Gov organizations, national parks, "hotspots"...) and one comment strikes me as particularly relevant to our community: nature conservation as it is currently conceived does not take into account the social impact of having to move populations or asking them to modifiy their ancestral survival techniques.
