Rick I'm in Bradentucky too. Nice to meet you. My name is Richard. Just getting into things starting a cycle in a Tote. Had Talapia I got from Myacca but they died because it was when I first got my system going and the PH was like a 4. But I had no idea what I was doing. So I got on line and started studying, and then bought " Aquaponic Gardening" and realized how far I was away from where I should have been. So at this point. 12/7/2014 I am riding on trying to nurture a cycle into existence. I only got the tote built 2 weeks ago, and things are real slow because of the weather but I have been fishless cycling for about 2 weeks now and this cool weather slows things down too. Me and a freind might go back to Myacca for more Talapia Catfish and snails tommorow. I'm not going to get many even tough I have a growbed full of plants and my Nitrite and Natrite level is real high. I just gotta relax and give it more time. I feed it crystilzed ammonia everyday, just up to .3 though, just to keep the plants going, But I'm still new to this and I have to learn to have patientce. I want to start a large Garden. I want to make sure I am in the right direction first though. I live on Talapia and Veg now. I don't want to have to go to publx for anything besides butter.
