Search engine (Google)
If you found us through a search engine, what search words were you using?
aquaponics
Are you an aquaponic gardener already?
Yes
If so, what type of system? (pick all that apply)
Right now I've just got windowfarms that I nourish with fishtanks (a few youtube videos up under Children's Aquaponic Windowfarm). Alas, my non-standard windowfarms sometimes cut out. I attempted a raft hydroponic system (didn't want to experiment with live fish in the mix) and learned a lot).
Please tell us something else about yourself.
I think I'm the first person to ever use a durso siphon in a hydroponic system - at least I've not seen anything else on the internet about durso siphons in hydroponics or aquaponics.

Hello Meg,

I absolutely love your youtube videos , clean and simple, and am planning on patterning my system after your's with the Rubbermaid bins. I loved your idea of the potable water hose, looks good too. Hope to talk back with you soon.

thanks. I must have misremembered what I saw.  I thought that they were bigger.

Hi, Meg.  In your 3x5 vids, where did the cast featherlight concrete stands come from?  I can't find anything similar anywhere.  Maybe I just don't know what to ask for.

Hi Meg,

Sylvia let me know what you are up to.  I am in Takoma Park and we have a group of enthusiastic beginners who have been meeting and encouraging each other along.  I was hoping to speak with you sometime to discuss common interests.  I've checked out some of the things you've put online, and they all look fantastic.  Hope to talk to you soon.

We use the same numbering system you do in the US so 3/4 is fine for me. I am still in Florida but will head back to Belize on Monday. It was great to connect with you guys as well.

Hi Meg,

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community! I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics. There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to join in. Always thrilled to have experienced growers join us – please post some photos of your system and tell us more about durso siphons!

A great place to start is to read the How to Use This Site link on the upper right corner, “Start Here” section of the Main page.

Please add a photo of yourself and participate!

Thanks again for joining us, and I look forward to getting to know you.

Sylvia
