I sell handheld XRF analysers which are being used by companies like Paladin Uranium for grade control purposes. We can test your granite next time I'm in Nigeria. It might be that I will not travel all the way up to Jos. But I am sure it will be possible for you to send a sample to the Protea hotel in Abuja. Let us stay in touch.

Do you have any projects going in Lafia?

Hi Brian, just one more thing. I see that you are using granite chips. Do you know what the uranium content of the granite is? I was just wondering if uranium will leach out somehow and what the accumulation effect would be in a recirculation system.

What is the annual rainfall in Jos? I once travelled from Jos to Kaduna and was amazed to see the beautiful countryside. It seems to me that one can almost farm with anything in that region without having to worry too much about droughts. I might be wrong and maybe it was just the right time of year.

Hi Brian,

I will definately come and visit. I am in Guinea at the moment and will shortly visit Burkina. I will probably be in Abuja early December.

It looks like an interesting project that you are busy with. Who is funding it?

I am a aquaponic researcher and system developer in South Africa.  I am very interested in community-based application for AP, but have had little success in getting the South African government here committed to funding anything as yet.  I'm more than willing to help with your work if you are interested.
