Thanks, Jack.  Have you ever raised coho or trout?  If so, I need details on what to feed them and how to care for them.  I know there are easier fish, and I may have to give up and raise catfish, but I'd like to try.

Thanks for the welcome the reason I am here is because I have a project.

It is a crowd funding project where I am trying to get funding to make my home food source self sufficient for me and my family. I plan on raising fish and plants in an aquaponics system as well as insects and chickens. You can read about my project here: http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/aquaponics.

Any funding, even £1 will be most grateful.

Thanks :)

Hey Jack! I love love goldfish. I have a fancy butterfly telescope about 3" named Embry! She's my profile picture haha. I just got another goldfish named Griffyn. He's going to be in quarantine for a while though, so you won't get to see a picture of him for about a month. I'm glad I joined the community and am super excited to harvest my first batch of veggies!

Hi, Thank you for the welcome Jack. I have read through the site and have learned much so far. I am from South Africa and started a small company called Aguaponics4Africa. Our aim will be to teach Africa to feed themselves.

Thanks Jack, I'm excited to be gathering some basic knowledge for a back-yard beginner; then eventually (6 months +/-) move on to a more extensive Aquaponic installation. I'm relocating to a rural area, north of Tampa Florida, so am optimistic about a year-round operation. Will appreciate any & all feedback on getting started/lessons learned.
Thanks, Rodger :)
