Aloha Nick! Thanks for accepting my friend request. We are pretty well covered on volunteers and help for the conference, but appreciate the offer! I wish we could work something out for you to offset costs to come, but unforutnately can't :( Still hope you manage to make it one way or another. Would be great to meet you and have you visit the farm. Hopefully one day!
Thanks Nick! Good to hear from you! We have been sooo busy between day to day farm operations, presentations, tours and preparing for the upcoming training, we barely even have time to check in here! Things are going great and our community is beginning to ask for our products by name. I don't know how I feel about those 'lettuce ladies' but whatever! Lol. Glad to hear you are still moving forward with your plans. Tell me more about the farming fleet trucks! I love the idea of being mobile. We can only get so many people to us, but you will have the ability to bring it to the masses. Onward aquapioneer!
The grant process for the shool project has been going slowly. After we met with the project director and found out that the programs she had in mind for us would involve a 12 to 14 hour weekly time committment from us, we had to scale it back a bit. As much as we would love to do that, there is no way we could dedicate that much time every week. She is now seeing if she could work us in under an existing grant they already have that would essentially have us build systems in the schools and we would teach the teachers and then be ongoing consultants. This scenario was much more feasible for us for the time committment.
Who's your friend that is attending? We wish you could come too. You will just have to roll that wonderful bus down south sometime and just visit :)
sounds great. Im a bit under the weather right now, but Im up in ned a good amount, a good friend of mine lives in old town. You have a greenhouse up in Ned? I live up Lee Hill in N. Boulder, am going to build a greenhouse this spring, we'll see if an aquaponics setup goes in at my house or if I get some space east of boulder to start doing it.
Tomorrow is fine. Places to go.... I'm assuming you will be coming down through Ned. The Med is probably Boulder's favorite restaurant, but is a tad pricey. Sherpa's is great Himalayan food and that is fun and less expensive. Walnut Brewery has great lunch, and is pretty American pub, but upscaleish. The Rio is a very popular Mexican place. All 4 are good, and within 2 blocks of each other on the west side of Walnut. All are pretty popular so I'd suggest we get there no later than 11:45 to get a seat. What sounds good to you?
Hi Nick. Dan is a wonderful guy. I"m not remembering Jacob...but I'm super bad with names. Any of those days works for me. Just let me know where and when to show up and I'll be there.
Hi Nick. Welcome to Colorado! You picked a beautiful place to live. I just checked out Syzygy House - looks like an incredible place. I can't believe I haven't heard of it before. I'd love to help you out as best as can, and meeting for lunch sounds like a good plan (but don't feel like you need to treat!). Just let me know when you plan to come down to Boulder. The only day I have lunch plans the next two weeks is today.

Hey Nick, how's the bus plans coming along? I might have some grant and funding opportunities info soon.
