Howdy.

I've made the burner tube and outer cover so far.  I've been fortunate enough to have allot of pay work lately so my time gets divided between many projects.  I'm leaning toward a gas burner first to make hot water (I use an existing wood fired unit).  I've settled on a location that allows me to harvest exhaust heat with a shop built water heat exchanger and send it over to heat the fish tank water and green house.

I've tried to study the GEK and it looks very good.  I definitely hope Santa brings the basic computer processor control unit.

My only hang up with it is our place is a little energy greedy so I'd like to run a 30kw gen but the biggest GEK is 20kw.

Average home use would be just fine with 20kw,  My wife is a dog groomer and that business likes electric.  I've converted the bath hot water to come off the hot water system but I need to convert the dog dryers the same way to reduce the elec need.  But In the next room is a bunch of large woodworking tools that eat juice also.  So I've got a bunch to do.  It's worth doing for me since my woodworking produces wood waste.

For the gen take a look at generatorjoes.net.  I'm going with a 2 bearing gen  the 30kw $1586.  I'm a little stuck on engine.  I have a great 350 but thats way to big.  The gen requires 50hp so I'd like a 125ish engine.

Be safe
