In order to avoid redundancy we can take the time(short time) to get as familiar as possible with all things AP,when we have confidence with our knowledge we can move forward. In my experience we design a system based on our knowledge at that time and as the learning curve progresses we usually find after some user experience our systems contain obsolete/redundant aspects forcing a costly and time consuming revision. So it's important to make informed AP decisions to avoid these.
