thanks for pointing out nature aquariums - I'll check them out. I haven't had any issues with lack of potassium, although I'm a little iron shy right now because my pH is about 7.2. I've been growing a wide variety of potassium loving plants - tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, etc. - all winter with no supplementation of either iron or potassium. The key is in establishing a bacterially active, 12" deep media bed and adding worms to it. My plants are getting everything they need without any extra dosing.
