I spend like a month calling around trying to get talking to the right person the find out about the legalaties of fish. But the guy i spoke with at the provincial government said i could buy perch or tilapia fingerlings and raise them as long as i kept the recept.
Are the rules different in Quebec ? Who were you talking to to?

I saw your message about cooling the water for trout. I've wrestled with this very issue in the past and concluded that the only way to keep the water reliably cool enough for trout was to use a chiller - Via Aqua makes one that works well, but is very pricey. Good luck with the rainbows.
