I’m retired, and I’m considering building an aquaponics system, but I have so many questions. I support and feed 30 to 40 family members per day, so I’m hoping that I can supplement our grocery bill. I’m hoping that perhaps you could answer some of my questions. What I’d like to do is place chickens (for eggs in the morning) and rabbits over the top of a tank of tilapia, (the tilapia would eat the chicken and rabbit waste) and then on to my plants, after perhaps some sort of treatment first. I might use some freshwater shrimp and worms as well, if I can find them.
