If so, what type of system? (pick all that apply): We are just expermenting with barrel ponics so far. Talipa worked well in the summer but we had to switch to gold fish for the winter. I believe we now need to add more fish to balance out our fish to garden. We have enclosed our aquaponics garden in a plastic covered green house. We grew some very nice beets, & tomatoes so far this year.

Please tell us something else about yourself.: We are beginning gardeners growning garden in built up gardens out of doors. under small 4 ft wide hoop houses in the mild Arizona winter switching to shade cloth in the summer works very well for us.
We also grow talipa & cat fish in stock tanks & use the dirty water from these filters to water and nurish our gardens. We have had very nice crops of snap peas, spinach and onions in the built up gardens so far this year.

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community! I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics. I see that you are already a very experienced aquapon, so I hope you will get into the forums and help out the conversation!

We have just a few simple rules: stay on the subject of aquaponics and keep it cordial (no flaming!). If someone decides to break these rules they will get a warning, and then be banned from the community after that. But of course I’m hoping that never happens!
