Please tell us something else about yourself.: Hi My Name is Dan. I've grown plants indoors as a hobby for the last 8 years. My life's goal is to maintain a "closed system" for the production of food. My dream includes an aquaponic system set up in an urban environment utilizing vertical farming techniques. Included within the system would be a lab for the production of various fungi, bacteria as well as insects that would work in the aid of plant and fish growth. Ideally an incinerator for the creation of sterilized carbon charcoal and co2 would be added to the system for continual production of filter material. A big dream I know But I see it as the worlds best video game and so remain committed to the challenge.

There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions. Everyone is quite happy to help out new members – no question is too basic.
