If you found us through a search engine, what search words were you using?: aquaponics systems

If so, what type of system? (pick all that apply): I'm about to start construction of a 750 gallon fish tank with a raft system for growing vegetabes, herbs etc. Construction will begin on 9-7-2010 and I'll keep adding info as things progress.

Please tell us something else about yourself.: My wife and I live on the same farm and in the same house built by my great grandparents 110 years ago. Our house sits on about 20 acres of the original 610 acres and we currently have a few cows, chickens, a dog and three cats.
I've raised tropical fish as a hobby for 40 years so I have some experience in the fishy aspect of this venture.
I welcome any constructive input.

Julianne here from NE Georgia. I am going to be in South GA the end of next week with my niece (who's doing an internship with me) and a couple of friends. Might you be willing to show us your AP system? I'm in the design stage and it's really helpful for me to see things in person in order to get a handle on them. We are also going to be stopping in at Chris Taylors place in Whigham, GA (Swamp Creek Farm) and hopefully a couple of others. Nothing like "inviting myself", but if it brings you joy to share what you've done, I'd greatly appreciate the opportunity to look and learn. (PS We're nice, normal folk -- well, maybe normal is a stretch - but nice, definitely!) Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks!

There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions. Everyone is quite happy to help out new members – no question is too basic.
