My husband and I have just started into the aquaponics and have fell in love with it. Our system is only about 2 months old and so far we have had great success with it. We are already harvesting our veggies and some of the fruit. Our watermelon and cantaloupe are coming along nicely and I thing they will be ready to harvest in about 5 to 6 weeks, and I cannot wait. Everything we have been able to harvest so far as been excellent in flavor. We have had some problems with insects, but we will get a handle on them asap.
