First zuccs are the best!!!  (Or maybe they just are more satisfying!)  My zucchini plant is ginormous and produces like crazy.  Yellow squash too.  If I don't pick them immediately when they are right size, they will be too big 12 hours later...it's crazy!!

I did jack-o-lantern pumpkins as well and got a few really big ones.  I expected them to grow slow, but they got huge and had to cut them at the end of July!  Just started more knowing that they will be done before Halloween!

   AP is awesome, isn't it??!!

This is the first time I've commented on this link... so not sure where the best place is.  Ha!

My system has been going since last December, so just under a year.  I'm not exactly sure what kind of tilapia I have.  I think I have white nile and blue... but I'm sure they are mixed breeds by now.  Momma fish is nearly all white with a grey spot the size of a quarter on her cheek.  I have her and two males (one blue and one white nile) in the breeding tank, but can't figure out which one is getting busy!   The babies are coming out kinda zebra striped (white/grey), all white, and white with spots.  But they all grow big and are darn tastey!!

No prob about the duckweed.  But regarding the snails... what did you do?  Do the fish eat them at all?

I can part with about 20 fingerlings at this point.  They are a little over an inch long, maybe 3 months old.

Momma has babies in her mouth now, so they'll be ready to go as fry in about 3-4 weeks.  Or wait longer and they will transfer better and stay alive easier.

How long have you had your system?  Do you have any duckweed?  I'd do a swap for duckweed.... or  $15 for 20 or so fish?  I'm not really in it for the money, just want to cover my costs.  Would love to swap info too if you are local.
