Here you can see the exhaust or chimney laying flat. This would be placed in your thermal mass to extract the BTUs that would normally be lost going up the chimney. It has been tested to 47 feet horizontally.

This stove is actually made out of mild steel, and painted with a high temp paint.  But the color does make it attractive.

Hey Rick,

New here to this site. Just getting started in AP. I live in the south of Brazil and it gets cold here durig May-Oct. I plan on using this technique for heating my water tanks and greenhouse 

What did you use for your barrel, copper?  Does'nt that make it kind of expensive?

During their demo for me, it reached over 800 degrees at the top plate in under 30 minutes.  Very clean burning, no visible smoke.
