have to admit, we have been soo fortunate when it comes to heating the greenhouse...
or should I say... not heating it! last year I woke up one morning to realize I forgot to turn on my heaters..
it was 34 degrees, so I felt confident we wouldn't loose everything.. when I got down to the green house and saw the temps were 55 at the lowest,, I was very surprised!! t...heck, that's the best I could do with the LP heaters running all night.
so from then on I have been trying to find my lowest outside temps that don't require heat... so far so good, ive been down to 21 degrees with the green house only getting down to 38.
im using one AES "L type" 5500 watt heater in one tank, and one of my home built 5500 watt units in the other... both are keeping the tanks, and rafts (3500 gallon total/side) at 70 degrees, and the greenhouse from freezing. so its been in the 20-30s for two weeks, haven't run a heater in the greenhouse yet!!
im all about growing whats in season and not trying to control the temps so much.. went broke a few years ago with $900 electric and $800 gas bills for 3 mos in a row.
other than frozen doors ...and balls, were doing fine.
Do you plan on having to heat at all?
Is it sweet
Senior Chattersauce... you are blowing my mind! keep up the awesome work.
