What weight had the trout when you started? Did  you consider to use some pipes in NTF on the rack in the picture instead of gow beds? How many fish do you have here?

we grew some mizuna, kale, and a few lettuce varities. All in all, watercress grew best because there is only a few inches of gravel media. This is a difficult system to grow in and maintain because there is not adequate bio-filtration relative to the amount of water in the system. We keep the stocking density very conservative (1 fish to 12/15gl). I prefer the deeper grow beds and auto siphoning systems which can grow a wider variety of plants and support more fish.

did you grow other plants than watercress?

Mid 40s thru the winter. It's not starting to push 60 so we are going to harvest soon.
