A mating couple and a third wheel. The mating pair is always dominant over the other fish. Note the dark colors of the non-participant. They turn dark when they are in submission & trying to hide from the dominant fishes' aggression. Also note the tail fin whacking the other breeder. That's a love pat. The male will swim around the female, stroking her and sometimes smacking her with his tail.
