We got the dome structure in one day! I don't have a finished picture since we had to use flashlights to put in the last few sections! Special thanks to fellow forum member Steve Perreault who helped out! He was a huge help!!!

Rich, It took a little pushing and pulling on some of the pieces to force the structure into the proper shape. Gravity is not your friend with these! I'm still amazed that every piece fit in without any modifications! The last section was the hardest to install since it was starting to "close the gap". then on the peak, the last 5 boards fit perfectly! by that time the dome had the proper shape and the last hub slid into place.
I still haven't seen it finished. LOL It was dark when we finished it last night, and dark when I left for work this morning. AND, it will be dark when I get home from work! I'll probably get to see it on Wednesday. ;-)
Hey Rob,
Thanks for the credit. I'm a big fan of geodesic domes and had to be a part of this fantastic journey that you are willing to share with all of us. The cool part is that I don't have to wait for the video. (hee hee)
I was very impressed with the design and quality of this ultimate growing system. Combining geodesic with geothermal is genius. But wait there's more - the selection of wood; the paint and even the hub design all contributed to a make this into a truly amazing system.
Too bad we ran out of daylight. It would of been cool to video the last hub going in - I guess everybody will have to take my word for it - it went together like a dream. Nice Job!
