Cut the seedling trays apart so that I can plant groups of 9 in succession. Based on Joel Townsends' AP system, I am using a mixture of vermiculite and coconut husk coir.  One tray is filled just with coir as a control. Planted on 9 June 2012:  two varieties of butterhead lettuce, one variety of romaine, and four basils.   Biggest concern is the color temperature of the T5 bulbs.  Could only find 3000K and 4100K.  I went with the 4100K to get closer to daylight.
