Hi Adrena,

This was an early idea in my AP setup. The water fills the tube half way up(Tube at an angle), from the GB(Grow bed) and then return to the FT(Fish Tank). The roots kept getting tangled with other plants and couple times blocked the water flow and spilled over. The pipes also heat up with prolonged exposure to sun and damage the plants at times. NFT guttering is better to use but they have issues as well. NFT requires adequate prefiltration, correct temp. ranges amongst other things to perform properly in AP.

Like this one Harold, is the water just flowing past it on the way to fish pool, grow bed, or what?  I am intrigued.
