Yeah, they usually take 5 or 6 years to get that big- it's a long term investment, but if they're worth more than 8 or 9 dollars a pound, you've made money! Man I love koi.

yes mad german she eats like it too. Nitrates are high even with 300 plus plants in the system. Trying to get back to 450 plants to get nitrates down. Nate she is a pet to say the least. Funny story bought 83 koi from a pond for 300 bucks and had a lady offer 200 for goldy. We kept her though she is the queen. 8 yrs old.
