Ok with the 90deg fitting turned it all makes sense including the vacuum break that was throwing me.  So using the Vacuum break obviously sets the water level in the grow beds.

Actually, it works either way just fine. It makes a siphon when the water level rises then breaks the siphon when the water level gets to the bottom.

Chris,

Hi. I just took a look at this schematic and you are absolutely correct.  The 1" 90 deg. elbow is facing the wrong direction in the schematic.  I will re-draw it and re-send it to the photos page.

Does the siphon work plumed like this? I would have thought the 1" 90 inside the tee would need to plum into the drain side instead of the tank side.
