The indexing valve or sequencing valve is a mechanical valve that that operates on the starting and stopping of water flow. When the flow goes to the sequencing/indexing valve the water pushes down a disk that sends to flow to one of the outlets. Then the flow stops and the spring pushes the disk up and the cam turns it so that when the flow starts again the disk will be lined up with the next outlet. This allows the flow to be sequenced to the grow beds to flood them one at a time.
