Here is the inner cap with the 8 holes drilled, I use a 1/8" drill bit for this. So, the end result is a reservoir that will fill and start overflowing out of all 8 holes after there is at least 1/8" of water inside of it. This design is key to keeping an even and uniformed downward flow of water throughout the planter.
