Drop the 10-1/2" piece of 1/2" CPVC tubing down the inside of the planter opposite of the barbed T drain line, but out of the way of the holes that the cup hooks thread into. Add polyester batting or filter floss to hold everything in place and be sure that the batting/floss is level with the end of the plant starter plug. The CPVC tube is critical, this is a vent pipe that lets air down to the bottom of the planter in order to guarantee that the planter always drains out of the barbed T instead of overflowing out of the funnel.
