1 1/2" outflow from one of the the media bed bell siphons - moves the water - strainers catch the occasional piece of shale which disagrees with the pumps ... after two weeks of running water there are almost no shale fragments coming through. The shale is a real bargain compared to clay, but it requires lots and lots of pre-cleaning ....
