Here's the old design with external Goulds agricultural pumps - workhorses but way too loud for an interior instillation.

The sump has a float switch - when it is full it is drained by the pump. When the sump is empty the pump stops. Runs for abut 30 seconds every 4 or 5 minutes.

mr. drumurphy i have a question about the pumps did you run them continuously or can they be run continuously like a submersible fountain pump ?
