Hey Rob, the actual shape itself probably isn't that critical to function other than making it harder for ashes to make mischeif and it gives the heavy assed 5mm thick walled flue something to rest on while setting it in place...

But that little ditty is what makes 'the magic happen' ...in effect this is a 'rocket stove' in which you are able to do away with the limitations of proprtia and dementia. (You know, that whole deal where the cubic volume your vertical "flue" needs to be equal to at least 1.5 times the cubic volume of your horizontal burn chamber added to the cubic volume of your feed chamber. That is a shitty limiting factor on how much wood you can load at a time, and unless you have own slaves (or interns) you'd have to go out to the greenhouse every half hour/hour to feed the darn thing. This was a way to get around that (though it does take a couple of watts of electricity to do it...about 17Watts total in my case)...

The whole thing is Jim Fisk's design...just beefed up and modified a bit...but the is the one to thank for this.

It's a 9 page thread...I'm not about to re-read it, but I believe a lot of the answers to questions you might have are there...if not just ask (no guarantee I'll be able to answer them though)

Vlad, please explain how all of this works... im building a standard double barrel, and plan to add a fan, but trying to grasp what you have going on here... and should I try to mock this idea or not? it look like a turbo charger for the flue, but the shape you got going on has me guessing ..
