Temporary Pond for my move of four aquatic systems. One of those systems being a fully planted and fished 90 gallon pond with 100 gallon growbed. Float style.

Oh yeah over time some drift wood does lower you PH into the 6.0 to 6.6 area.

It's floating in there because it was not planned to be added but just laying around. I also know fish feel more secure when you provide hiding spots and cover. PVC works well enough. I have been changing from an aquarium person to an aquaponic person. Look me up on face book if you want to see what that driftwood looked like inside a 40gallon planted tank.

Next Dumb question LOL, why is it floating in there? Some benefit to water/fish??

That is a drift wood stump that I have and it takes a really really long time to sink. In my aquarium I had to use deep sea fishing weights to hold it down!
