According to research, Moringa will not survive the ground freezing.  This means that they will either need to be in a pot and brought indoors (a greenhouse if you have one), or they need to be somehow protected from temps below 32deg... They can be grown as an annual.  They also work well from cuttings (make sure the cutting is about 15 inches long with a 1 -2 inch woody diam.) and started in water. SO to that end, this winter is going to be a trial at our place in the Cascade Mtns...all the while thinking about the moringa trees in the warm tropical climate in the sunny breezes in Honduras...This is going to be a test year for us..  Hope yours survives the winter...

Bob, we are going to find out....Been doing a lot of research.  We plan on growing it at our place in the mtns. of the PNW...However these photos posted here are for the AP system we are in charge of in Tegucigalpita, Honduras at an orphanage called Worldwide Heart to Heart Children's Village.  We just got back from getting it built and functioning.  It has tilapia in the system already....It does not get cold there.

We dry it. Then Blanch it. Then dry it again.  After the drying we crumble it and feed....The tilapia eat it. No pellets.  They are also eating BSFL, duckweed and water lettuce, and soon redworms.

I have found that my Tilapia will only eat Morninga if very hungry or are you making it into some kind of pellet with other stuff? Our Red claw will eat Moringa.
