It's a bit early, but I picked up this factory reject 1000 gallon tank that I can use for the fish. It has a few flanges along the bottom that need to be capped. The best part was the price....FREE!

THAT IS ONE HUGE TANK. MY WIFE AND I JUST STARTED THIS ON OUR FARM IN SPEEDWELL AND I THOUGHT OUR 200 GAL, TANK WAS BIG.
I'll bet you no APC member has a rain collection tank greater than 900 gallons and if they do, they need to share a picture of it - If I lose I'll help you for another day - if you lose you have to get me one of those babies - are you on? If so, I would think a week is enough for this wager - what do you think?
That's a measly little 900 gallons - hardly worth mentioning! ;-) Actually, if you look carefully at this picture, at the top-right corner, you can see it against the garage......
You gotta post a picture of your rain water tank - All of APC will envy that baby - I still do
LOL. It's all smoke and mirrors. ;-) The tank is on its side. It's ~ 6' in diameter, 5 feet tall. and yes, the dome is already too small!
Ha! the picture looks like the dome fits inside the new tank - I guess you need a bigger dome now
Excellent! It's great to see other people starting new systems!
Thanks! Keep up the good work... your Harbor Freight experiment inspired me to start my own little AP system.
The southern 3/5ths of the dome will be in a twin-wall polycarbonate-Lexan by GE. It was just delivered yesterday!!! The northern 2/5ths will be plywood/shingles and insulated. The entire thing is made from scratch...I guess you have missed my videos on it. ;-) Start with this one - it details the entire adventure! dome video 1
