Not yet, but all of the tanks will be sided with wood paneling shortly so there won't be much exposure to any direct sunlight. That's a really good point though that I hadn't even thought of. I also don't let the water flood over the top of the gravel by cutting the stand pipe in the bell siphon down an inch or so below the top of the gravel. This ensures a dry zone on top to also help prevent algae build up from too much standing water.
