I spent a LOT of time working up this design. The resulting system is quite close to this, but with the two grow beds parallel to each other rather than linear.
Nothing beats good design.
The intent here was to use as little space as possible for the system. If I was to do it again, I probably wouldn't put the grow beds as far over the fish tank, but it works OK.
