The hot water runs under the fish pond through a coil of pex tubing to heat the water. As long as I dont melt the pex with 200F water, then I think it should be fine. So far the water has been between 100-120F during the day, so not super hot. But the fish pond is maintaining 70F during the day and my tilapia are still doing fine here in Colorado...If im lucky I will extend the season until November/December in this climate before I have to shut this system off for the winter. Pretty good for a do-it-yourself project from reclaimed materials!
