Tilapia are very territorial.  Their territory is where they happen to be at the moment.  Fights are frequent but usually don't involve injury - just a bunch of shoving.   These are the same species of fish.  Depending on the mood, they range from light pink to almost black.  It takes only a minute to change from one color to the other.  Males that are light pink are looking for love.
