There really are no noticeable emissions. The stove is burning at about 1000 degrees on low at the burn chamber and at about 1400 degrees on high. It burns the gases as they climb the zig zag tube. All there is is a slight heat wave at the top of the stack.
Excellent. I was a little confused by the stove being directly connected to an IBC, but it makes sense to make ancillary components out of the same stuff as system components. By the smell test, how do the stack emissions from this stove compare to other pellet stoves you've used?
We will use the stove for heating a storage tank. Then use a pump controlled by a thermostat to move the water through a hose that radiates the heat into the tank. So, to answer your question, we will be able to keep the temperature constant within a few degrees. The fluctuation will be in the storage tank. This will be kept above the temps required by the greenhouse and AP system, about 130 - 150 degrees. This tank will be in the mechanical room which is insulated from the rest of the system, about the same as a water heater in your home.
This is pretty cool. What do yo think about how precise your control will/can be over temperature rise?
So it has been running for three days, out in the elements, no insulation, 225 gallons of water maintaining 80 to 85 degree water at about $5 a day worth of pellets. Outside temperature has been in the low 40s to low 50s. Basically worst case scenario is still cheaper than best case with electricity or gas. Pretty awesome stove and water heater! Next will be install in greenhouse!

Upon startup, water was at 54 degrees faranheit. Water pumping through stove at about 4gpm with an initial 7 degree rise at the outlet for 61 degrees.
