Well, now you can tell them you know somebody who is proficient at it. I am constantly learning new things about the software. Graphic design is a hobby for me too. I recently volunteered some time to make a pictogram for a non-profit describing how to build a latrine and purify water.

Haha, I get e-mail updates to my phone and can post on here thru it. Thanks! I'm glad you like them :) Those comics sound pretty neat. You know, there's a huge calling out there for AutoCAD. I'm constantly being asked if I know anyone proficient in it. Graphic design actually started out as a hobby for me. I had a guy take a chance in hiring me, I flourished, and lo-and-behold it became my career. I just like being able to make art and get paid for it ;) It's much more fun than painting to match someone's sofa colours!

Hmm... We most both be at work not doing work... I like your comics. They are fun. ErfWorld is a turn based game/ dnd comic that has grown into an actual plot based story. Phd Comics is just good comic about academia and the craziness involved. I really enjoy art. I dabble in Corel Graphics Suite, graphite, colored pencil (water soluble and non), and I spend even more time in AutoCad.

I do websites, flyers, posters, most other kinds of graphics, and now FDA regulated labels for food and nutrition supplements. My webcomic is at www.emacartoon.com :) I love XKCD, but I haven't heard of the other two. I'll have to check those out!

What kind of graphic design do you do? Also, what is your web comic? I am always looking for good web comics. I like to read xkcd, erfworld, and phdcomics.

Thanks! No, I'm not an engineer. I'm an artist from a family of scientists. However, I have a web comic in addition to my day job of graphic design. :)
