wiseway pellet stove

A non-electric pellet stove. Gravity fed and requires little space. I am working with the manufacturer to add a water heat exchanger to operate a hydronic heating system for the AP fish tanks. We just became a distributor and dealer for our region. Very Exciting! Will reduce heating costs substantially.

So it depends on how thermal efficient your greenhouse is and if you are just heating the air or heating a thermal mass including your water. It also depends upon your climate and what you wish to grow as to how much heat you need. I hope that helps some.

Updates on the stove.... Well, it is EPA and UL listed, it should be on Sylvia's site now, we had it at the AP Conference this weekend and had a great response and a good deal of interest. Do you have any specific questions about the stove? I do have quite a bit of info concerning the stove and its accessories on my website as well.

Comment by Rick Stillwagon on July 13, 2012 at 12:16pm: The stove heats the greenhouse, house, shop etc. But they have a heat exchanger that attaches to the back of the stove that heats water. To control the temp it would be a thermostat that would control the water circulating through the beds by turning on or off the circulating pump. I will let you know on the shipping.

I have a pellet stove for my home (electric) and it heats the whole house in the winter, so if it heats up the water (for the fish, beds etc.) how do you keep temp from getting too warm or do you cycle it as needed? My zip is 20169 what would be shipping? Thanks

List price will be $1,495.00 for the stove soon. I can still offer them at $1,295.00 but soon to change. The heat exchanger for water is an additional $250

Comment by Rick Stillwagon on April 3, 2012 at 10:04pm: I am going to try it in my 12x15 greenhouse soon. I will then be able to give a better recommendation. The manufacturer told me they have been installed in houses up to 2,000 sq ft in our area and climate and it was the only source of heat. My greenhouse is a little under 200 sq ft, but obviously much less well insulated than a house would be.
