Basil Seedling
I pulled the seedling from the root cup. Notice the 'slime' coating the roots and wilting around the edges of the leaves. Anyone know what's going on here?

f you look close, the roots are still nice and white. it looks to me like you need more filtration before the NFT. you could try a 5 gallon bucket full of orchard netting, or filter media from a pond supply. it would be a small version of what i call a "Polisher"...i use one between my media bed and rafts... water stays crystal clear.
