Just some "the usual just-started-AP-fare"...different types of lettuce, basil, swiss chard, cilantro, chinese cabbage etc...I'll snap a pic tomorrow...nothin' too impressive to look at really (though I'm pretty happy gazing at the little guys).

I can ask around and see what I can dredge up...Can't promise anything though...

I know that they had (a little while back, before the apparent falling out) started using clay from a mine in the Czech Republic (or Slovakia...I can't remember)...that may or may not have something to do with the 'quality control' story...Previously the factories were in Austria and Germany...Who knows?

Hi Vlad... you're closer to things than I am...

Could you ask around and see if ther'es any truth to the story that Hydroton is in fact about to resume production???

Story I have is... the issue of the clay, and quality control.. that supposedly led to the closure... is a bit of a phurphy...

And the reality is that the was a falling out between the partners of the business... and that one of the original partners has now bought out the other... and is about to kick things back along...

They do bulk if you can work out the shipping...might be a potential side business since Hydroton is shut down...

$9.00 only! Lucky you :-)

Cost here in Orlando, FL USA after my discounts is around $40.00 for 50l bag! Wish I could still get the $28.00 price.

God bless

Sorta. Most of it is from a company called Liapor. $9 bucks USD as opposed to $28 for Hydroton. I could not find any suitable gravel even remotely locally and would have had to purchase 20 cubic metres of the stuff I did find for them to truck it here. So, all things being relative this seemed cheap
