I suspected these Tilapia would taste excellent, Confirmed! I have not been impressed with Tilapia in general as only about 2 out of 10 have been tasty. The other 80 percent had a muddy flavor I believe due to water quality, feed and questionable conditions. With our AP systems the water quality should be excellent. Believe I can improve on the food and make fish even better.

Hi Bill, The taste problem I was talking about is in purchased fillets and restaurant Tilapia. Being a fisherman maybe I'm a bit spoiled. These AP fish seem fine however.

Did you move them to a separate tank and not feed them for 3-4 days? According to Charlie Shultz, you need to move them in small batches and hold them in a separate tank and stop feeding them once they reach maturity and you're ready to harvest them. That may solve the taste problem.
